Our Services

All services are free to those who qualify. Clients may be required to pay expenses related to their case if they are able. We are committed to helping the low income community of Scarborough. Our clinic board has established priorities and we specialize in the following areas of law:

• Ontario Works (OW) or "welfare"
• Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
• Tenant Law, including private landlord/ tenant issues, co-op housing issues, rent subsidy and public housing
• Canada Pension Plan disability benefits
• Employment Insurance

Community Groups

We help Community Groups to get organized to work on issues to change the laws. We will attend meetings and classes to talk about the areas of law that we do.

We do not assist persons with family law or criminal law matters. Low income persons may be able to obtain a legal aid certificate to pay for a private lawyer who practises in these areas. Phone Legal Aid to apply for a certificate at 1-800 668-8285.
